Bruce LaMarte

With an impressive tenure of being a 54-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Bruce has not only secured seven Pioneer District championships but also tied the international record, affirming his remarkable dedication and talent in this art form. As a founding member of the Motor City Metro Chapter established in 1989, he has played a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant community of Barbershop enthusiasts. Bruce’s commitment to the next generation is exemplified through his consistent support and coaching of several youth quartets and the Youth Chorus, The Voice. In 2025, we proudly note that seven out of eight quartets in the district contest finals included members from the Youth Chorus, a testament to his impact. Over 40 years, Bruce has made outstanding contributions to the Pioneer District and international contests.
